How does Bowen therapy work?
A feature of the Bowen Technique is the very light pressure needed for each precise movement which encourages the parasympathetic nervous system: our body's own healing process. Therefore, results for acute injuries are often
achieved in as little as 2 - 3 treatments.
A personalised treatment will address the whole body often resolving individual issues as the persons systems learn to
re-balance.
Bowen therapy was developed to treat a person by observing the root of a presenting injury or longer term problem.

A STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO TREATMENT
Esther's priority is listening to your own aims for treatment. Noting your symptoms and contributory factors. Together we then discuss what you hope to achieve through your treatment session and how the treatment will be carried out. Bowen's precise hands-on movements can be performed through light clothing and you will be invited lie on our therapy table for treatment. Between sets of light physical movements, a rest period of two minutes will allow your brain to relax your muscles and nervous system to adjust. A full aftercare briefing is provided. You will be given guidence on what effects to expect and Esther will be availible to answer any questions in the following week.
