I had been suffering with sciatica and my financial adviser told me to try the Bowen Technique. I found Esther on the internet and in total I had 5 sessions. After the first treatment I felt some relief with a definite change. The remaining 4 sessions gave me improvement each time, until after 5 my pain had all but gone! Esther is very easy to speak too. I had never heard of the Bowen Technique until I started to look for a way of helping my two week old daughter who was very distressed for most of the day. (‘A’ was not feeding adequately and did not latch on for any length of time before crying inconsolably.) We presumed it was colic and tried everything we knew about and everything the health visitor advised, but nothing seemed to help. It was a very distressing and emotional time for the whole family as ‘A’s crying caused a lot of tension and meant my two older daughters got next to no attention from mum and dad. We were desperate for help. A friend recommended the Bowen technique stating it helped her two daughters with colic and it had worked after only two sessions. I found Esther’s Clinic on the internet and emailed her. She responded quickly to my email and offered to see ‘A’ the following week. Esther’s thorough initial assessment identified another possible cause for ‘A’s discomfort. Some improvement was noticed after one session but the best results came after the second session. I was particularly impressed with how gentle the technique was. At no time was ‘A’ distressed with the treatment, but I could see that it was working. ‘A’ improved rapidly after the second session which meant we did not need any more treatment. Esther was very professional and easy to talk to. She was very thorough in her initial assessment which allowed us to identify the reason ‘A’ was so distressed turned out to be stiffness in her neck and shoulders and not colic at all. I felt the treatment was fantastic and the treatment room was lovely and very relaxing. I met Esther on three occasions for Bowen Technique treatment. I found her to be professional, friendly and completely engaged in ensuring my well-being.
